Nice-Grenoble: Never Mind.

By: Martha | November 30th, 2008

Singin’ in the rain.

Conditions were so bad that the match was postponed yesterday, and then put off again today. For what it’s worth, here’s the lineup that would have taken the field — for the second match in a row, Rémy was in the squad but didn’t even made the bench. By next weekend, one hopes, he’ll at least be a sub, sitting next to his buddy Ospina, whose third L1 start will have to wait.

There’s no word yet on when the match will be played, but it’d be nice (ha ha) to get it done before Christmas, so everyone goes into the break on equal terms.

The team are back in wet training on Monday.

Bordeaux has been getting this terrible weather too, but apparently, training for the Champions League games > shitty rainy weather.

What is up with their faces?! Is it paint or is it blacked out? I was thinking photoshop, but it matches the colour of their jackets…

The Lyon match last weekend was nuts, too, I cannot believe they played that.

Ha! I assumed it was photoshop, too, I got it from the forums and figured they were protecting particularly badass Ultras, but I dunno — cutting edge makeup?

Players are really complaining about having to play in those conditions. In Bordeaux some of the pitches actually flooded, and it was impossible to play.

    It looks very funny XD
But I guess unless they won’t really change the schedule suddenly just to accommodate the weather. The only time I remember players being taken off the pitch was the Olympics this summer, the women’s match (Canada/USA) and it started to thunder. I guess they won’t postpone “big” games, unless a freaking tornado rips through the stadium.
